Welcome to the comfortably furnished terraced house "Marita" in the holiday resort of Hamswehrum, in a quiet cul-de-sac location in the beautiful Krummhörn. There is also a small guest WC (1.5 sqm) on the ground floor.After your arrival you can park your car directly in front of the house. You have the choice between a 25 square metre covered terrace or a beautiful sun terrace with awning and beach chair. Or would you prefer to get out into the beautiful countryside? The "Krummhörn" also offers many cultural and leisure activities. It is only about 2 kilometres from the house to the dyke. There you will find well-developed cycle paths on both sides of the dyke which lead round to the right in the direction of Greetsiel/Norddeich or round to the left in the direction of Upleward/Campen/Emden. Would you like to swim in the sea? No problem, there are corresponding possibilities within a distance of 3 kilometres. Please make sure you check the appropriate "tides" beforehand.
At low tide you can also go on a mudflat hike. Alternatively, you can go fishing, surfing, kite surfing or sit on a bench and let your gaze wander over the North Sea, salt marshes and the Wadden Sea landscape. If you are looking for a beach, a visit to Upleward, also approx. 3 km away, is a good idea. Relax on Europe's only and the world's first "dry beach" including a children's playground, kiosk and perhaps a visit to a local restaurant!!!! NEW in 2024 - Two parking spaces are available in front of the house, and access to the garden is also possible from there via a paved path!!! In the rear garden area there is a barbecue area, another barbecue possibility is also available under the covered and wind-protected outdoor terrace. On the dry beach in Upleward there is now beautiful new playground equipment, beach chairs, seating as well as a kiosk and barbecue area (partly for a fee). Since 2022 (due to suggestions from our guests) the house has been equipped with
equipped with fly screens. A day trip by boat to the islands of Borkum or Norderney is also highly recommended. The Pilsum lighthouse, also known as the "Otto Turm", and the fishing village of Greetsiel are easily accessible via the great cycle paths. The natural beach of the Knock is also a marvellous excursion destination. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. Smoking is not permitted in the house and pets are not allowed.
