The city of Rijeka is an excellent starting point for exploring the nearby Lovran all the way to Opatija by the sea promenade, or to the national parks Plitvice Lakes or Risnjak, and the Ucka Nature Park. We recommend a boat trip to the beautiful islands of Mali Losinj, Cres or Pag, and there are also numerous possibilities for active holiday.
