In the picturesque village of Mieders at the entrance to the Stubai Valley, our alpine hut is located at an altitude of 1240 m, only about 300 m from the ski slope, in a wonderfully quiet location. Enjoy the wide view of the Stubai mountain world, the municipality of Mieders, and the state capital Innsbruck, which is 15 km away. The Gullenhütte is accessible on foot in winter via the toboggan run. Luggage and people can be brought to the hut. In winter, the arrival and departure should therefore occur by 8:30 AM, as the toboggan run cannot be used after that time.
Pure relaxation! The hut is cozily furnished with a lot of wood and consists of a living kitchen with a wood stove and a tiled stove, a double room with a balcony, a children's room with 3 beds on the 1st floor, as well as a double room on the ground floor, a toilet, and 2 bathrooms.

The warm water for a bath (antique) and kitchen is provided by a wood-heated boiler, while another bathroom (new) has a gas boiler that provides instant hot water (operated only with a generator).

Radio, satellite TV, lighting on the ground floor, power generation through a generator. We are happy to provide you with 2 liters per day (which corresponds to about 3 hours of runtime). If you need more, we are willing to provide you with more supplies for a fee.

Below the hut, there is a pond with trout. The 6-hectare property of the alpine hut is surrounded by alpine meadows where our Highland cattle graze in summer. Outdoors, we also offer you a sauna and a 180 cm large bathing tub (wooden tub). Both can be heated with wood. Our cozy alpine hut is supplied with drinking water from its own spring. The bathing tub (wooden tub) is filled depending on usage with this fresh water (no treated water!!). Filling and heating the water (approx. 2000 liters) takes about 5 - 6 hours and is charged at €20 each. The water emerges from the mountain at about 4°C. The Gullenhütte is accessible by car in 10 minutes from the center of the village Mieders in summer.
A perfect place for your summer vacation. Various hiking trails are available. Additionally, from the Gullenhütte, you can reach Europe's highest monastery, Maria Waldrast (about 1.5 hours). A beautiful hike to the 2800 m high Serles (also known as the Altar of Tyrol) at sunrise is worth experiencing. The hiking time from the hut is about 4.5 hours. The mountain station of the Serlesbahnen in Mieders in the Stubai Valley, as well as the Koppeneck restaurant and Ochsenhütte, are reachable on foot in about 1 hour. Below the gondola, there is a 2.8 km long summer toboggan run that takes you down to the valley at about 40 km/h.
The Serlesbahnen ski area in Mieders, which is only 300 m from the Gullenhütte, offers a variety of recreational activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing. There are also winter hiking trails. It includes an 8-seater gondola, 3 ski lifts, and a 6 km long natural toboggan run, which is illuminated at night. A perfect small ski area for the whole family!! The largest glacier ski area in Austria, the Stubai Glacier, is about 28 km away from us.
