The Garden of Zephyrus - West

Our appartment is located in Akrotiri, 15 minutes away from city of Chania, the sea, the airport, as well as port and National Road. It's ideal for alternative vacation for families and couples. The fact that it is near the cosmopolitan city, makes it convenient for a group of friends as well. A compeletely equiped, sunny appartment, which is a part of a bigger house built in a private area of four acres, offers joy, peace and quite, as well as a wonderful view.

At the frontyard, there is a great, private parking lot for our family and our guests, plenty of space to walk and a a garden with flowers and lawn, and α BBQ area with a wonderful view.At the southern part of our property there is an olive grove, where you can walk, enjoy the cretan nature and rest on swings under the trees.At the eastern side of the property, right after you pass through the white - fenced frontyard, there is a natural rock garden, which is organised as a herb garden, partly shaded by pine trees. There, you can spend some time soaking in the garden and learning from the owner the uses and qualities of Cretan herbs.We named our property "Garden of Zefyrus" as a different kind of wind pleasantly blows the appartment every season. Sometimes a powerful wind makes leafs fall from trees and make a carpet full of beautiful colours, while other times, a soft breeze makes leafs rustle, helping every visitor to relax and unwind.The house is located 300 meters above sea level. From the windows and balcony you can enjoy a beautiful view to the east, south and west, which includes the sea of Souda Bay and the White Mountains which have snowed peaks most of the time. All around, the tweets of birds and the hum of cicadas is heard.

The building is on top of a rock, and the apartment is right under the house where our family lives, in a private area of 4 acres full of trees, shrubs, herbs and wildflowers of the local flora. It's placed on a sloping hillside rock, facing Souda Bay. A small private street,70 meters long,leads to a spacious parking lot, and at its side there is a small staircase, wich leads to the balcony and the front door of the appartment.There is one bedroom, a living room, a well equiped cuisine and one bathroom. The bedroom has a double bed, and the living room consists of two sofa-beds.The house is equipped with everything including a full household as well as what you may need for your personal care. It's suitable for children.

Our neighborhood consists of houses which are inhabitted by families, in areas of 4 acres full of olive trees. The place where we are located (Akrotiri), is well known for its exceptional climate, its magical beaches, the change of sceneries,and some of the most important religious monuments in Crete.We strongly reccomend you to rent a car if you want to gain time for sight seeing. We are connected to Chania, Souda port, the airport and the highway that communicates with the rest of Crete, by two roads 5-7 km. The airport is about 10 minutes away, Chania city 15-20 minutes depending on the traffic and Souda port about 10 minutes. Nearest clean, sandy beach is at 5 km, about 10 minutes by car.

To get to the apartment, you pass through a private 70-meter alley that leads to a large park (shared). The apartment is accessible my stairs.
