Holiday apartment in a Tuscan agriturismo with a garden, pool and fishing opportunity

The holiday house belongs to an agriturismo and lies in the countryside, just a few minutes from the centre of Gallicano.

Outdoors there is a garden with tables, chairs and a pavilion. The private pool (5x10m, depth 1.40m) has sun loungers, deckchairs and parasols and is available for use by guests. A private parking space is provided. A small stream flows through the site, where one can fish for trout. A paid fishing permit for the Tuscan region is required for this.

The part of the house that is let as a holiday apartment is on one floor and comprises two bedrooms with a double bed or two single beds, each with its own bathroom with shower and a television with digital programmes. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, gas oven, fridge and dishwasher. The apartment has a washing machine in the boiler room. The tranquillity of the location, the cosiness of the bedrooms and the cool summer evenings promote relaxation and well-being at the end of the day, after going on trips and walks.

The holiday house is in a particularly convenient location for visiting the most important places in Garfagnana and the Media Valle del Serchio. It does not take long to reach the Grotte del Vento, La Pania, the Forato mountain, Park dell’Orcchiella, Vagli Lake and other characteristic places in the region. There is also the Ponte del Diavolo (Devil’s Bridge), Orrido di Botri, Barga, the thermal baths in Bagni di Lucca etc. Just a few steps away from the agriturismo there are walking trails, also for horseback rides that can be organised by the nearby riding stables. A few minutes away there are various restaurants and pizzerias, offering good and low-priced meals. The town centre of Gallicano offers a range of services: shopping centre, grocery shops, bakeries, butcher, post office, banks, medical services and sports facilities.

The agriturismo was founded with the intention of protecting the environment and of offering guests not only a restorative holiday, but also fresh air and clean water, as well as respect for the local flora and fauna. Owing to waste separation, various materials are recycled. No weed killers or pesticides are used on the lawns. The agriturismo has received the award of “recommended establishment for ecofriendly tourism” from the Park Alpi Apuane. The owner’s son is a certified mountain guide and is happy to accompany guests on guided tours into the Apuan Alps or the Apennines (prices according to number of people and services, to be confirmed on location). The agriturismo is wheelchair accessible. The owners live just 150 metres away from the holiday house.

    “Täglich gereinigter, großer Pool, super ausgestattete Küche, schöner Garten/ Terrasse, wo wir immer gegessen haben, alles sehr sauber. Preisleistung ist sehr gut. Vermieter immer freundlich und hilfsbereit, dabei absolut unaufdringlich. Im Ort (3 Autominuten) Riesensupermarkt, Tankstelle, Bar. Für unsere drei (lauten) Jungs perfekt, da außer einem Bauernhof nichts in der Nähe ist und wir ohnehin alles für uns allein hatten. Abgesehen von der langen Anreise PERFEKT.”
