House in Gluiras with South-Facing Terrace and Wonderful View
This holiday house enjoys a wonderful location on a south-facing slope at 710 metres altitude, at the heart of the Monts d’Ardèche regional nature reserve. It affords a lovely view of the wildly romantic Glueyre valley and the rocky crags carved into the granite by nature. The house is accessed along an asphalted cul-de-sac. It is far away from traffic noise, in the midst of nature, so you can enjoy absolute peace and quiet.
You can enjoy the sun and the wonderful view on the big south-facing terrace, which is at the same level as the kitchen and the living room and is furnished with a table, garden chairs and deckchairs. An ash tree and hazelnut bushes provide some shade. You can grill using the outdoor grill, which is built into a wall by the terrace. Wood is provided.
The stone house dates back to the year 1342 and was carefully restored by the owner, combining modern fittings and the traditional elements of Ardèche farmhouses. The house provides 95m² of space for up to seven people. In total it has three bedrooms. The bedroom on the first floor is for four people and has two double beds (140 x 200cm). The second bed is a loft bed suitable for children older than six years old. This bedroom has a washroom with a WC. The bedroom on the third floor provides two single beds (80 x 200cm and 90 x 200cm), which can also be joined together. The third bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200cm) is also on the third floor. The living room has a reading corner, a sleeping bench, a sofa bed, armchairs and a dining table. The bathroom comprises a bath, washbasin and WC. The kitchen on the second floor is fully-equipped.
The whole area around the house is freely accessible, so you can set off from the house on extended walks or mountain bike tours. You can swim in the nearby Glueyre river or at a monitored area near Saint Sauveur Montagut. It is worth visiting the Wool Museum in Ardelaine. The river and the town are only ten minutes away.
Free wireless Internet access is available. The house is open all year round and is let out by the week. There is a second house on the same site (see description no. 660397). Each house has its own entrance and own terrace, so they are completely independent and all guests are ensured privacy.
