This house is in the centre of the Gulf of Mirabello, about 11km to the south-east of Agios Nikolaos, nestled into a spit of land called “Istron”, having borne this name for a long time. Soft sandy beaches, framed by rocky bays, give the coast a bizarre charm. Lush vegetation on the slopes of the rolling hills creates green contrasts to the grey-brown of the hills and the white houses of the little villages strewn all around. Villa Castello is on a 1900m² site planted with olive, fig, orange, tangerine and banana trees and others, in a terraced garden around the house, about 450 metres from the sea. Each apartment is individually and charmingly decorated with original paintings and old Greek elements. All the terraces or balconies have pergolas providing shade. Each apartment has a safe, wireless Internet access, a TV and air conditioning.
The paths and terraces around the house are adorned with flower beds and fragrant bushes. You can experience a pleasant and happy stay here in harmony with nature and forget the hustle and bustle of the often hectic world nowadays, so you can dream again, surrounded by an interplay of light and shadow, water and an azure sky. A brick-built oven has been built in the garden among the trees. Next to it there are stone benches and a marble table. In Istron, about 300 metres from the house, there are shopping facilities and good tavernas with Greek specialities. The authentic village of Kalo Chorio is about 2km from Istron in the inland area.
Holiday apartment on the first floor
The apartment provides a bedroom furnished with two single beds (90 x 200cm), bedside tables, a built-in wardrobe and a mirror and stool, as well as a generous balcony with a view towards the mountains. The spacious living room provides a table, armchairs, stools and a sofa, which can be converted into a bed for a third person, and opens onto a pretty balcony with a table, chairs and a sweeping view of the sea. The kitchen, separated from the living room by an archway, provides a table, chairs, wall and floor cupboards, a sink, fridge, coffee machine, stove with electric rings and plenty of crockery and cutlery. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin.
