    “Mimice sind ein kleines Dorf an der Adriaküste. Das Dorf liegt zwischen Makarska (20km) im Süden und Omis (10km) im Norden. Im Dorf selbst ist nix los, was aber widerrum bedeutet, dass die wenigen Strände nicht überfüllt (Pfingstferien sogar eher leer) sind, und auch sauber bleiben. Das Meereswasser ist glasklar. Nur Kiesstrände, d.h. kein lästiger Sand, alles bleibt sauber. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist in Mimice richtig gut aufgehoben. Mit ein Paar Restaurants und einem Supermarkt ist man eigentlich gut bedient. Für Ausflüge sind Inseln in der Nähe mit der Fähre in ca. 30-45 mIn gut erreichbar. Stadt Split ist auch in der Nähe.”

Oberhalb der Küstenstraße befindet sich die winzige Altstadt mit einer Kirche. Noch ein Stückchen höher gibt es einen Wanderweg, auf dem man - im Sommer nicht gerade in der Mittagshitze und unbedingt mit ausreichend Trinkwasser versorgt - am Fuße des Mosor- und Biokovo-Gebirges wandern und den Blick aufs Meer genießen kann. Für all jene, die noch mehr Abwechslung suchen, bieten sich Ausflüge nach Omis, Split, Makarska, Imotski (Hinterland, Roter und Blauer See), auf die Insel Brac und vieles mehr an. Mimice ist sowohl zum länger Verweilen als auch als Ausgangspunkt für unzählige Exkursionen optimal!”
